"The Lord Says Open Your Mouth Wide, and I Will Fill It"

Psalm 81 (esp. vs 10), Leviticus 23:34-44, John 10:10

It's only by the grace of God that we keep our promises. But with God, nothing can stop or prevent Him from doing what He says He'll do.

God made special promises to His children. All His promises have been met a the generations continue.  We need to analyze God's words and promises, and hold to them.

Read Psalm 81.  The Book of Psalms is about praise and song.

  • People should shout and remember Feast of Tabernacle
  • Prophet gave an oracle while people were singing

  • "Hearken unto me" looks at the relationship we have with our Father.

What do we have to do with Egypt? We all have the Egypt form in one way or another:

  • wanting your own promised land
  • wanting to go back to where you were before

"Open wide your mouth and I will fill it"
  • What do you put in your mouth? You put good stuff in your mouth. God can put way better stuff in your mouth.

With birds, the mother isn't forcing them to open their mouth. Their mouth is open, expecting more. They expect the mother to put the food in it. We need to expect God to fill our mouths. Open your mouth in expectation.

    • Open your mouth to God
    • Open your will to God
    • Open your heart to God
    • Open your ways to God
    • Open your spirit to God. Open your spirit to love God above all things. Love others and yourself.

Open yourself to what God offered you in life!
